(HELL & BACK Junior and Alive Outside Summer Camps)

Insurance Cover

There are risks associated when participating in either HELL & BACK Junior or Alive Outside Summer Camps.

As each family has different insurance needs, it is the decision and responsibility of each parent/guardian to ensure their child is fully covered in accordance with their specific requirements when participating.

We strongly recommend that,
in case of injury, each participating child is covered under a family health insurance policy, which can be purchased from any financial consultant or insurance broker.

Weils / Leptospirosis Disease

All our events take place on large, vast working farms, which are home to a wide variety of plants and animals, both domestic and wild. As the course involves running through ponds and rivers, Alive Outside encourages all parents to know the symptoms of Weils / Leptospirosis Disease, which is an acute infectious disease spread by infected wild and domestic animals. If your child develops any symptoms, you should see a medical professional immediately.

By accepting these Terms & Conditions, you agree to the risks associated with your child running through the natural habitat of these plants and animals. Alive Outside does not accept liability for any illness contracted – everyone takes part at their own risk.

For more information, check out this link which includes info from the HSE and the Order of Malta.

Physical Condition of Participants

Both HELL & BACK Junior and the Alive Outside Summer Camps are outdoor adventure experiences where all children need to be of a suitable physical condition to be able to take part. By accepting these Terms and Conditions, you are aware of the potential risks involved and declare all the children registered to be of a suitable physical condition to participate..

We strongly recommend that any parent/guardian with a health-related concern about their child(ren) taking part visit their local GP for a health check-up before participating to make sure that the event is appropriate for them.

Parental / Guardian Declaration

As Parent/Guardian, I give permission for my child to participate in HELL & BACK Junior/Alive Outside Summer Camp. By completing this registration, I agree that Alive Outside, the event organiser, is not liable for any personal injury or any other accident that may cause injury to my child. In case of injury or illness to my child, I give my consent to emergency transportation and the administration of first aid and medical treatment.

H&B Junior - Event Rescheduling Policy

Alive Outside events take place all year round and go ahead within the reasonable weather expectations of Ireland. As everyone is aware though, there is the potential for extreme or severe weather and therefore we have an Event Rescheduling Policy if the conditions are very bad.

Our aim is to do all we can to make your experience of our events, and that of your child, as enjoyable, and safe as possible. If though we deem weather conditions to be potentially hazardous and unsafe for participants, we reserve the right to postpone and reschedule the event for an alternative date to maintain participant safety.

Our decision about postponing an event is final.

Based on local weather forecasts, we will issue a Weather Report at least 3 DAYS beforehand on our Facebook and Twitter pages. This will be followed by a Venue Inspection by the Race Director to access the safeness of the course and access to it. We therefore strongly recommend that you follow us on social media for the latest information about the event.

Where possible, our policy is to postpone an event NO LATER THAN 9PM on the night beforehand. In the case of a postponement, we will use all the media available to us to inform you as quickly as possible:

In the case of an event being postponed and rescheduled, you will have the option of:

  1. Switching your registration to the new reschedule date; or
  2. Getting a full refund*.
* To avail of a full refund, you must email info@aliveoutside.ie within 72 HOURS of the rescheduled date being announced. Unfortunately we will be unable to offer you a refund if you do not contact us within this time.

Please email info@aliveoutside.ie if you change your email or SMS details.

Alive Outside is not liable for any costs incurred by participants, such as accommodation, transport etc, resulting from the postponement and rescheduling of an event.
