On Saturday 28th February, thousands of Hellraisers will be taking on the HELL & BACK Winter Warrior Challenge and, as we gear up for the big day, it's important to plan your journey in advance.
To help everything run smoothly, we’ve put a clear car parking system in place. Please read the details below carefully to make sure your arrival is stress-free.
We expect over 850 cars arriving throughout the day so please be patient as we try to get everyone parked as quickly and safely as possible.
You should arrive and park AT LEAST 75 MINUTES before your allocated start time to allow you register and familiarise yourself with all the facilities and services in the Event Village before you start on your hellish adventure.
PARKING LOCATIONS
After the success of H&B Winter Warrior last March, we are once again setting the event up in Giltspur Basecamp. Located in the heart of Killruddery Estate, this area will host the Event Village, including:
Food and drinks
First aid
Toilets
Start and Finish Lines
Cars:
To ensure efficient parking and traffic flow, there will be two designated car parks:
Killruddery Car Park – For early Wave 1 participants (opens from 08:00)
Southern Cross Road IDA Car Park – For late Wave 1 and all Wave 2 to 5 participants
Follow the Visual Display Signs on approach, be patient and obey the instructions from parking attendants who will guide you to an available space.
Coaches & Minibuses:
Weather permitting, all coaches and minibuses will be parked on tarmac in the Southern Cross IDA Business Park - so there no muddy wheels! You’ll also exit onto a roundabout, making for a smooth and speedy getaway afterwards!
Please share this Google Maps link with your bus driver: [Click here]
Allow 10-15 minutes to walk between the bus park and the Registration / Event Village.
CARPOOLING
To reduce congestion and minimise environmental impact, we strongly encourage carpooling.
Fewer cars will make parking easier and quicker for everyone.
Share a ride with teammates or friends to help reduce traffic delays.
DIRECTIONS & SITE ACCESS

Please follow directional signs and instructions from parking attendants. Traffic will be heavy, so allow plenty of time for arrival.
Car Park Guidelines:
Killruddery Car Park (Early Wave 1)
Follow instructions on Digital Signs upon approach.
Allow 10-15 minute walk to Registration.
Allow 5-10 minute walk from Registration to Start Line in Giltspur.
Allow 15-25 minute walk from Finish Line to Car Park.
Expect 10-15 minutes to exit at peak times.
Southern Cross IDA Car Park (Late Wave 1 and all Waves 2-5)
Follow instructions on Digital Signs upon approach.
Allow 10-15 minute walk to Registration.
Allow 5-10 minute walk from Registration to Start Line in Giltspur.
Allow 15-25 minute walk from Finish Line to Car Park.
Entry and exit will be quicker than Killruddery due to direct access onto a roundabout.
Car Park Alternations:
To help manage traffic flow - especially when leaving the event - we’ll be alternating between car parks throughout the day. Please follow the directions on the large digital signs on Southern Cross Road to ensure you’re directed to the correct car park.
WARNING: THIS IS NOT A SPECTATOR-FRIENDLY EVENT!
Please note that the Car Parks are located a distance from the main event site. Access to the Start/Finish area involves a significant uphill walk, particularly between Registration and the Start/Finish Line.
Estimated Walking Times:
Car Park to Registration: 10-15 minutes
Registration to Start Line & Event Village: 5-10 minutes
Finish Line to Car Park: 15-25 minutes
Given the time of year, recent very heavy rainfall and challenging underfoot conditions, the route follows uneven farm paths and is NOT SUITABLE for child buggies, strollers or anyone uncomfortable with long uphill walks. Please factor this in when when planning for Saturday.
